Hi Everyone

We are looking at purchasing a Samsung frost free refrigerator for christmas at home. I am from Cochin. We are looking to purchase a 230 litre fridge.

If any of you have any thoughts on this, please share.

thanks

Hi Mathew

First, welcome to Aavaas Forums.

Samsung is certainly a great choice for a refrigerator. Since you are already decided on the brand, it makes it a lot more simple to make the choice.

There are two or three models in the Frost free range which could suit your needs:

a) RT23

• SilverNano™ Technology
• Gross Capacity 230 Ltrs.
• i-Cool™ Cooling System
• Bio Ceramic Vegetable Box
• Toughened Glass Shelves
• Colours available: Mild Blue, Deep Red, Wine Red, Sparkle Green, Dual Tone, Mist Silver, Indian Blue & 2 Tone Silver

Cost as per the web site is : Rs. 13,000

b) RT-25

• SilverNano™ Technology
• Gross Capacity 250 Ltrs.
• Deep Door
• Powerful Compressor
• Toughened Glass Shelves
• Low Voltage Operation
• Foldable Guard
• Twin Veg Box
• Jumbo Bottle Guard
• Mr. Cool Pack
• Colours available: Paisley Satin & Sparkle Silver

Cost as per the web site is : Rs. 15,500

c) RT-26

• SilverNano™ Technology
• Gross Capacity 260 Ltrs.
• i-Cool™ Cooling System
• Bio Ceramic Vegetable Box
• Low Voltage Operation
• Toughened Glass Shelves
• Environment Friendly
• Colours available: Wine Red, Sparkle Green, Indian Blue, Dual Tone, Mist Silver & Two Tone Silver

Cost as per the web site is : Rs. 15,600

Please judge carefully the number of members in your family and the volume of utensils that you would place inside the fridge. Given the small difference in price, we would recommend you to choose the 260 litre model instead of the 230 litre model.

And do not forget to buy a stabilizer if your home gets erratic voltage supply.

let us know what you bought.

I bought the samsung refrigerator Model 280l RT28RVMS1@ 15500. I find it good due to below reasons.

stabiliser-free operation
The compressor has a better energy efficiency ratio and consumes less power. It can operate at voltage as low as 135V and as high as 290V and eliminate the need of a stabiliser.

star rating-4 stars
SAMSUNG frost free refrigerators have been awarded a BEE star rating, which makes them one of the most energy efficient refrigerator range & saves electricity and running cost

i-spin cooling system
The upgraded i-cool provides an even and fast cooling and allows you to manipulate the direction of the vent as per their needs, ensuring faster cooling inside the refrigerator. i-spin cool vent can not only be rotated at 360 degrees but can also be turned up, down, right and left

anti-fungal door gasket
The anti-fungal door gasket in SAMSUNG refrigerators prevents the entry and build-up of fungi and bacteria inside the refrigerator.

I would agree with Chisha. I too am in favor of Samsung (my first TV 1998 vintage is a Samsung - touch wood - works still fine; my refrigerator 310 litre is a Samsung - 4 stars; stabilizer free op's) and now recently my Samsung S-5 LCD 40 inch - all chosen simply because of the brand being honest about its after sales service and delivery of quality products.
