Samsung Refrigerator - Is it ok to buy?

Hi Everyone

We are looking at purchasing a Samsung frost free refrigerator for christmas at home. I am from Cochin. We are looking to purchase a 230 litre fridge.

If any of you have any thoughts on this, please share.

Samsung is certainly a great choice for a refrigerator. Since you are already decided on the brand, it makes it a lot more simple to make the choice.

Please judge carefully the number of members in your family and the volume of utensils that you would place inside the fridge. Given the small difference in price, we would recommend you to choose the 260 litre model instead of the 230 litre model.

And do not forget to buy a stabilizer if your home gets erratic voltage supply.

I bought the samsung refrigerator Model 280l RT28RVMS1@ 15500. I find it good due to below reasons.

stabiliser-free operation
The compressor has a better energy efficiency ratio and consumes less power. It can operate at voltage as low as 135V and as high as 290V and eliminate the need of a stabiliser.

star rating-4 stars
SAMSUNG frost free refrigerators have been awarded a BEE star rating, which makes them one of the most energy efficient refrigerator range & saves electricity and running cost

i-spin cooling system
The upgraded i-cool provides an even and fast cooling and allows you to manipulate the direction of the vent as per their needs, ensuring faster cooling inside the refrigerator. i-spin cool vent can not only be rotated at 360 degrees but can also be turned up, down, right and left

anti-fungal door gasket

did you have to cal them for service? what was your experience? if possible please share a few lines.

I have other samsung appliances - AC, washing machine and Microwave. They attend to our complaints immediately.

I would agree with Chisha. I too am in favor of Samsung (my first TV 1998 vintage is a Samsung - touch wood - works still fine; my refrigerator 310 litre is a Samsung - 4 stars; stabilizer free op's) and now recently my Samsung S-5 LCD 40 inch - all chosen simply because of the brand being honest about its after sales service and delivery of quality products.
