I bought two Faber Chimnies
a) 712090505 (90″ baffle filter)
b) 712087452 (60″ baffle filter) in March 2008
We use the first one and the second one is not being used at all. The first one is giving us trouble and stopped working sometime back. We filed a complaint (# 70971) for it on 13th June.
1) The service poeple came after repeated requests on 17th June (4 days after the complaint was filed) identified the fault and said that he would return as and when the part was available with him.
2) He came back on 19th June identified another issue which he had missed out earlier said he would contact his superior and disappeared. Today as i write is 27th June. Is this how the company promises to resolve issues in 24 -48 hrs or is it days in which case i stand at fault for writing too soon.
It appears that the service people who are coming have little or no knowledge about the product.
When i had bought the Chimnies i had gone by the precision and service attitude that the German companies stand for. But on hind sight i was grossly wrong. I have just been wasting money and time on the phone calls. Had i known that the FABER has come down so much as a product company i would not have given it a second thought. As things stand i would never advice anyone to buy any FABER product.
