Notice how the light is reflected/redirected towards the ceiling instead of the floor. Maybe the photograph doesn’t capture all the elements, but you can get a fair idea of what we are talking about.

It has been a while since we wanted to write about rechargeable lamps/lanterns on aavaas. In India power outages are a common phenomenon. To make sure that your family is safe during these outages after sunset, investing in a rechargeable lamp/emergency lamp is a good option. These illuminate automatically upon power failure and lights the room well. They prevent accidents that can happen in dark rooms such as tripping over, stumbling upon or bouncing into walls. The models discussed in this article are “retrofit”. This means that they are meant to be installed in traditional bulb holders. Khaitan also has “non-retrofit” and “spiral” models. The spiral model can also be installed in traditional bulb holders but the “non-retrofit” needs custom holders and are not generally meant for home usage.
