Are Home UPS and invertor two different things? Or is it that the UPS envelopes inverter as well?

  2. Home UPS is usually meant for computers and/or small devices. They have a built in battery from which the derive power in case of a failure in mains.

the inverter on the other hand is just the DC-AC coverter. It relies on an external battery bank to draw power at times of failure.

Inverters in combinatio with batteries can power more appliances than a small UPS.

I bought the usha UPS around 18 months back. It stopped working 6 months back ..
Still in warranty period.. The supprt from USHA is very poor ..
They do not track the reported problems properly .

If you want to buy inverter , do not buy usha inverter .. FYI: my inverter is still not working , and usha management never cares to solve my problem

  4. Mr. Armstrong,

Where are you from and where did you buy the UPS from? If you could also give us some additional details like cost, it would be useful for our readers.

I would like to thank you for the detailed feedback that you have posted on the site.

    sincerely – vivek

usha inverters are so boring not usable after 6-7 months , luminous sinewave inverters are excellent

    Sine wave inverter (600VA)

I bought this inverter back in may 2008, as we know that power cuts are major problem in cities like Delhi .My old inverter broke down to technical defaults, so I thought of buying a new inverter for my home. As I used luminous ups in past, my first choice is sine wave inverter from luminous power technologies. From the first look the inverter comes in black color and look stunning. The inverter runs on 230 Voltage (nominal) . One of the best features I like about this model is the added advantage of led indicator on the front panel of inverter, which makes it very easy to understand the basic information like overload of an inverter, battery low, charging function etc. The inverter is very user –friendly and specifically made according to current environment standards. The inverter’s battery is very power full, which makes it far ahead of time. This inverter needs minimum of 10-12 hours of battery charging time. Sine wave inverter comes with futuristic technologies like deep battery surcharge protection, which makes it safe and secure. The inverter comes with a price tag of Rs.5990, which is very economical, and a reason to buy. Luminous is providing a great customer service and also provides a free help line for customers

I bought the Usha UPS @ Chennai around 15 months back. Service is very very poor eventhough it is in warranty.
They couldn’t rectify a problem for the past 4 months

Usha Zentra Authorised service centers are not providing good services. Do not buy Usha UPS

USHA ZENTRA home UPS is better working performance when comparied to other UPS.and it has longer life, more reliability and more effeciency. because i am also UPS dealear i installed around 500 systems, it has no problem and coustmer,s also given good suggestion they liked very well. coustmer,s are prefferaing a sine wave UPS .USHA ZENTRA home UPS are using in villages because their is a low voltage and power flacuations.other UPS cant not work with power flacutions so am preffaring USHA UPS. some peoples are commeting bad. so i am giving suggestion you contact a person where you purchased.and also chek the wiring it works only for lightining not for AH . i am requesting you to give me distribution in karnataka of USHA UPS i have so many delears.

  17. We are maintaining a one of the best concern about inverter dealers in Chennai.
