Just some details on the lamp. It was designed in 1969 by the architect Simon Karkov for Normann Copenhagen. It has won many awards. It comes in different sizes. I have the size L with a diameter of about 51 cm. The colors one can choose from are white and off-white.

thanks for the information on the lamp Kathy. Did you buy it in IKEA?

  3. Kathy | March 20th, 2008 at 11:51 pm

No! You do not get that in Ikea. I bought it in a designer shop here in Luxembourg.

    @ kannan:
In Ikea, they have a similar model, somewhat rounder, called “Knappa”. And then they have the model “Knappa Klöver”. You might have seen those lamps, but you have definitely not seen mine there. :-)

    @ Vivek:
I like Ikea; bought a lot of stuff there for my apartment. :-)

I somehow like the lamps Kathy has posted much better. These IKEA ones are alright too. We should check out if the same is available in India.

    Hi George

for vases , you can look at many places including lifestyle/home centre. Their prices are very high though.
