Whirlpool India launches “Purafresh” R.O. Water purifier – 3 models : Elite, Deluxe and Platinum | Cost
More and more companies are realizing the need to be in the water purifier product segment. We covered a brief article on water purifier products before here. Today we talk about Whirlpool India which has launched 3 water purifier products recently. These require electricity to operate unlike the ones which we had covered in our previous article. Let us go in to the details without further delay.

There are three models from Whirlpool which consumers can consider. They are Elite, Deluxe and Platinum. All of them are certified by Gold Seal of WQA, USA. Apparently this body offers the most stringent tests in the world for water purifiers.

The products are collectively being referred to under an umbrella brand name “Purafresh”. The literature from the company also mentions that Purafresh products have a “6th Sense purifier” and “protect technology”. The USP here is that whirlpool products not only purify water but they also protect it post purification. So in the manufacturer’s words : They play a dual role.

This is my sincere advice that if you are Kolkata / Howrah based and intend to install this(ie Whirlpool product purafresh) never go for it. This is my last one year experience. The company has cheated me as my complaints were never attended in time.There after sale service is very poor. They promised me that u will get guartantee for one year including parts. But they cheated me. I had to pay more than one thousand Rupee for the prefilter and filter which was out of order in few months of installation. Just few days ago my one year guarantee is over. The machine is out of order.It is reported that the memberence is gone and I have to buy this costly part. A machine which can not give satisfactory service during one year what is the guarantee that after installation of memberence it will be OK. My hard earned 15 thousand Rupees look like wasted.

Whirlpool Purafresh is a wonderful product , my avg tds levels of 800 have dropped to less than hundred and i am using this product for the last 1 year now earlier installed in chennai and now in delhi.

I purchased Whirlpool Water Purifier just one month ago, which is giving me constantly problems. Due to this we are unable to drink water. Three different techinicians from your office in coimbatore were assigned to rectify the fault. They visited and worked on it for more than 10 different occasions. But sorry to state here, Still the problems could not be diagnosed. It seems all the three techinicians are unskilled. Simply they will ask us to sign the papers, without performing their designated duties.
I request one of your Senior Manager’s personal intervention in the matter to replace the Whole Water Purifier without further loss of time. After repairing over 10 or 11 times with different hands, my water purifier has become useless and problematic for ever. I purchased it for Rs. 12,500/-, unfortunately without any success. Whirlpool r o system is the worst system in the world.
R O is not required when TDS level is below 400ppm. check the TDS first then go for kent RO system.
Do not go for ro system unless tds is very high.

Go for Holi Waters RO purifiers if you are residing in Krishna and Guntur districts of Andhra Pradesh they are very good at after sales service.
I bought a Whirlpool Deluxe Purafresh in 2008 May.
For the last one month, I am following up with Whirlpool
Bangalore for rectification. The purifier simply stopped working.
Last week, some one from the service dept called and informed me that I have to shell out Rs. 5500 for replacement of pump and other parts. Whirlpool local
service manager is too arrogant to come on line despite requests.
They don’t have enough courtesy to be in consumer business and more over , look at the way they shamelessly fleece the consumers. The machine is one year and three months old and they are royally asking money which would buy half the equipment.
I recommend that this product should not be bought.

I have one WPL Purifresh delux model. Even though this is in Guarantee period of sevicing, no one came for servicing even after several reminders.Someone from Delhi office called on 1st May 2009 informing that routine servicing would be done next day but no one turned up.Again on 28th August, same person contacted me informing that servicing would be done within 48 hours. When nobody came then I phoned Patna office. I talked to one Mr Pintu who promised me that on 11th of September servicing would be done but again nobody came. Please let me know when servicing would be done?

I am looking for water purifier…I am staying on rent and TDS here is between 160-180.
Can anybody suggest which purifier will be better for me? I think I should buy some purifier that is flexible enough to be used at high TDS as well as at low, as I dont want buy some new watrer purifier if I shift to other house having TDS.
I liked kent mineral ro, which provides you the benefit of using RO (controlling it for required TDS) as well as UV.
Any other option like that is available in any other purifier?
