This model costs Rs. 54,990/-. There are very little differences between the two models. Some of them are:

Power Consumption of KLV-32V300A is 165W compared to 140W of KLV-32S10A.

The KLV-32V300A weighs 1 Kg less than KLV-32S10A.

Additionally KLV-32V300A has a swivel feature. Honestly we have no idea why someone would pay Rs. 6,000 more to get such subtle differences.

    Hi,

I believe the 6K difference between the two models is based on what the user’s
requirement is. For someone, who does not want to wall-mount the TV, the swivel will make a big difference. For someone, who wants to wall mount the TV, the 1Kg lesser load does make a big difference. Here too, there are different wall mounts. Some do not offer flexibility for the TV angle, while there are others who allow setting the TV at a specific angle and then screw it up (here, we need to unwind the mount a bit and modify the angle and re-screw it), and still there are other mounts which can be operated electronically to set the vertical as well as horizontal angles.

    Cheers
    Joe

The two models discussed appear to be meeting requirements of majority. But the operating temperature needs to be clarified for use in India. I wish I could see somewhere comparison between three brands- Sony,Panasonic and Samsung in this range.

    @murty

first, thank you for visiting aavaas and leaving a comment behind. I suggest you call Sony on their helpline to figure out minor details such as operating temperature. Some companies do, and other do not display them on their website.

    What are your requirements?

Comparing three company products online with all the details is not an easy thing to do. Perhaps you need to collect all details and manually compare them. Certain sites will allow you to compare only the basic features.

  9. Vivek | May 9th, 2008 at 7:55 pm

    hi kota

it is very tough to give prices without knowing where you are from.

it is best to check the company’s website for the updated prices or to check the nearby dealers.

we saw a promition stall yesterday where the v series 32 inch tv was priced approx 52000 rupees and the w 40 inch tv was slightly above a lakh.

hope this helps. please join the forums and introduce yourself.

    Hi Saurabh

I didnt know Sony joined the list for “bad after sales service” in India.

Perhaps you can elaborate on your experiences. Did your matter get solved?

    Hi Vivek,

I have experienced the real heat from sony services. They took 20 days to get my LCD fixed. Eery time when i called sony service center they gave “A new unique reason” like the part that was coming from singapore has got struck at custom checking at IGI airport. Can you believe that Sony the World class company’s part get struck at airport.
Next time they gave me one more unique reason that courier service cannot deliver part at service center coz Kavariyaas have blocked the road.

    Customer care service is pathetic.
No coordination between customer care and service center.
There is no way to escalate your complaint.
There is no SLA for fixing the problem.

After this kind of experience i am not going to buy any product from Sony India.

Hi - We have a Sony that would decide to take a nap and then it would come back on a short while later - we attributed this to the satelite connection - now the television took more than a nap - has it died or does anyone know some other reason or probabiblity other than a loose connection - which we have looked for - the televsion is just a little over a year old and used less than one year =

  17. Vivek | August 20th, 2008 at 9:59 am

    Hi Cora

Why dont you take it to the nearest service centre (or ask them to visit your home).

    Is it a CRT/LCD TV?
