Puzzles-Jumble-01
November 4th, 2007
It is Sunday again and time to relax for most of us. In the past, due to lack on interactivity on our portal, solving crosswords was an issue. We have decided to keep crosswords on hold till we can get a good way for people to solve it on-line and enhance the user experience.
Today we present you “Aavaas-Jumble-01″. Most of you are perhaps, already familiar with Jumble puzzles which appear in leading newspapers. For those who are not, here is a quick overview of how to solve the puzzle:
- Each “Jumble” puzzle is a list of 4-7 words.
- Each word is jumbled and presented in a grid. For example the word “TABLE” would be jumbled as “BEATL”.
- You have to Un-jumble the word and write it down in the same grid. This has to be done for all the words presented in the set.
- Each grid which has a word associated with it has also a “marked” cell. Usually it is highlighted with a circle.
- There is one “Super Word(s)” which is formed by combining these “marked” alphabets.
- If you have solved all the words and the super word, you have solved the “Jumble”.
Sounds simple? Well try today’s puzzle below:

Here we have 5, seven letter words presented in a jumbled manner.
Your first task is to un-jumble the individual words and write it down on a piece of paper.
Then you need to pick the alphabets which you see inside the “marked” cells (ones which are circled).
You would get 7 alphabets. These 7 form the last “super” word.
Usually a clue is given for the “super word(s)”. But since this is a very simple word, we are not doing so.
Solve it and post your comments. We are eager to see the responses
Trivia:
Jumble was created in 1954 by Martin Nadle (aka. Naydell or Dell & Nadel), and is one of most important properties of Tribune Media Services, which holds the rights to the JUMBLE trademark. Daily and Sunday Jumble puzzles are featured in hundreds of newspapers.
