Understanding the site features

Dear readers

For those who are not quite familiar with the site layout yet, we thought of publishing a small post which would enable you to use Aavaas better.

 Main Menu

This gives you access to the different pages on Aavaas. The most important of these is the “contact” link. This is found on the top section of the site.

Categories

On the left corner you can see the “Popular Categories”. Here about 30 categories are displayed. These 30 have most number of articles filed under them. There are more categories and we would probably be adding a separate page for that soon. To make things easier, there is also a Search function as described below.

 Search

Our site features a good search facility which is visible on the right pane. It searches all articles posted so far on the site and presents them to you. If you are looking for something, please use this.

 Email and buzz

We believe information is for sharing. Therefore we have added this feature in most of our articles. The envelope icon seen on top enables you to email the article to your friend or family members. Just click on it and enter

- your email address

- the recipients email address ( if many, please separate by comma ) there is also a feature to bcc the recipients

- add a small message and click on the button which says “Blink” 

After the email is sent, you are brought back to the same page where you started from.

We are listed in an Indian Blog directory called “Blogstreet“. Here our articles are published which enables readers to locate us easily.

If you like an article, please click on the Buzz It link and complete the formalities.

Please note that this requires a one time registration at  “Blogstreet“.

Here on the left pane, you can see the most recent articles that have been published on Aavaas. This is useful if you are visiting us from a search engine and landing on an older page. 

Here are two popular ways of saying “We like your site”. We were nominated for the best education site (Blog). Clicking on that and voting for us would be a nice thing to do

The second link is from Rediff India , where the latest blogs are showcased.

Please click on this and cast your vote for the favorite articles listed there. This does not even require you to register.

If you like to comment on posts, then you should see your name here on the right pane. So what are you waiting for? Comment your hearts out.

In case you are looking to browse our Archives, you can find the link on the left pane. It is listed month-wise.

Top posts

The most often read posts from recent ones are appearing on the right pane. This could give you a fair idea on what is hot on this site.

Who does not like to social bookmark? We have under most posts, 6 popular social bookmarking icons. Clicking these will lead you directly to their site. You may be required to have a registered account.

Some of our friends have been kind enough to include a link of our site on theirs. We extend the courtesy here.
