Spaces

Every home is comprised of three to four essential spaces. Spaces is just a fancy word for “room” but it is actually very apt. Coming to think of it, when you buy a home, all you have inside is a vast empty space. How you populate these spaces is entirely upto you. You could (we strongly suggest “should”) plan your spaces before filling them out. The best thing that can be done is if you plan it during the construction stage. This way, a lot of finer details like inlets/exhaust, electrical fittings, wardrobe placements could be planned and executed to perfection.

Broadly speaking there are the following spaces(rooms) in any given home….

  • bedroom (perhaps the most important as it comes first in B-H-K* categories)
  • kitchen – something which is gaining popularity as opposed to the conventional approaches
  • living room – A pride to showcase to visitors, friends and family
  • bathroom – In our opinion this is the most neglected space in any given Indian home

 * – BHK is a convention used in paper ads for rental/purchase. BHK stands for Bedroom, Hall and Kitchen. Indians call living room as “hall”.
